Welcome | Rev. Paul Yoo, Senior Director of Spiritual Formation & Mission
Call to Worship | Psalm 138
Leader: I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; before the “gods” I will sing your praise. May all the kings of the earth praise you, Lord, when they hear what you have decreed.
All: May they sing of the ways of the Lord, for the glory of the Lord is great.
Song of Praise | Crown Him With Many Crowns
Crown him with many crowns
The lamb upon his throne
Hark, how the heavenly anthem drowns
All music but its own
Awake, my soul and sing
Of him who died for thee
And hail Him as thy matchless king
Through all eternity
Crown him the lord of love
Behold his hands and side
Rich wounds, yet visible above
In beauty glorified
No angel in the sky
Can fully bear that sight
But downward bends his burning eye
At mysteries so bright
Crown Him the lord of life
Who triumphed o’er the grave
Who rose victorious in the strife
For those he came to save
His glories now we sing
Who died and rose on high
Who died eternal life to bring
And lives that death may die
Crown him the lord of peace
Whose power a scepter sways
From pole to pole, that wars may cease
And all be prayer and praise
Crown him with many crowns
As thrones before him fall
Crown him, you kings, with many crowns
For he is king of all
Song of Praise | May the Mind of Christ My Savior
May the mind of Christ, my Savior
Live in me from day to day
By His love and power keeping
All I do and say
May the Word of God dwell richly
In my heart from hour to hour
So that all may see I triumph
Only through His power
(Chorus)
May the love of Jesus
Be like waters of the sea
Filling heart and soul and mind
With silent majesty
Seeing ever more of Him
And ever less of me
This is victory
May the peace of God my Father
Rule my life in everything
That I may be holy comfort
To the suffering
May the light of Christ shine through me
As He seeks the lost to win
And may they forget the channel
Seeing only Him
(Chorus)
Prayer of Adoration (Concluded by the Lord’s Prayer)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
Silent Praise and Thanksgiving
Doxology | I Love You Lord | Holy, Holy, Holy
I love You Lord
And I lift my voice
To worship You
O my soul, rejoice
Take joy, my King
In what You hear
May it be a sweet, sweet sound
In Your ear
Holy, holy, holy (I love You Lord)
Lord God Almighty (And I lift my voice)
All Thy works shall praise Thy name (To worship You)
In earth, and sky, and sea (O my soul, rejoice)
Holy, holy, holy (Take joy, my King)
Merciful and mighty (In what You hear)
God in three Persons (May it be a sweet, sweet sound)
Blessed Trinity (In your ear)
Prayer of Confession
Have mercy on me, O God,
According to your unfailing love,
According to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.
Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.
Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Silent Confession
Words of Encouragement | Psalm 34:4-5
I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.

Song of Praise | At the Fountain
There is healing at the fountain
Come and find it, weary soul
There your sins will all be covered
Jesus waits to make you whole
(Chorus)
Oh the blessed healing fountain
I’m so glad it’s flowing free
Oh the precious cleansing fountain
Praise the Lord
It washes over me
There is healing at the fountain
Look to Jesus now and live
At the cross lay down your burden
All your wanderings He’ll forgive
(Chorus)
There is healing at the fountain
Precious fountain filled with blood
Come, oh come, the Savior calls you
Come and plunge beneath its flood
(Chorus)

Scripture Reading | Romans 6:1-14
1 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. 14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. (NIV)
Sermon | Purpose by Rev. Bijan Mirtolooi
Reflection Song | Come Ye Sinners
Come, ye sinners, poor and needy,
Weak and wounded, sick and sore;
Jesus ready stands to save you,
Full of pity, love and power.
He is able, He is able,
He is willing, doubt no more.
He is able, He is able,
He is willing, doubt no more.
Come ye needy, come and welcome
God’s free bounty glorify
True belief and true repentance
Every grace that brings you nigh.
Without money, without money,
Come to Jesus Christ and buy.
Without money, without money,
Come to Jesus Christ and buy.
Come, ye weary, heavy laden,
Lost and ruined by the fall;
If you tarry till you’re better,
You will never come at all.
Not the righteous, not the righteous,
Sinners Jesus came to call.
Not the righteous, not the righteous,
Sinners Jesus came to call.
Let not conscience make you linger,
Nor of fitness fondly dream;
All the fitness He requireth
Is to feel your need of Him.
This He gives you, this He gives you,
’Tis the Spirit’s rising beam.
This He gives you, this He gives you,
’Tis the Spirit’s rising beam.
Closing Song | Settled Into Place
What is truer than the evil done by men?
What is truer than the pain that needs to mend?
What is truer than the fact my life will end?
What is truer when abundance comes my way?
What is truer when contentment starts to fray?
What is truer when I cannot even pray?
Christ died
And I died with him
Christ rose
And I am risen
Christ reigns
And my life is settled into place
What is truer than what others say of me?
What is truer when I struggle to be free?
What is truer when the path I cannot see?
What is truer when your will I have defied?
What is truer when I fear you won’t provide?
What is truer than the dreams I’ve had that died?
Christ died
And I died with him
Christ rose
And I am risen
Christ reigns
And my life is settled into place
Christ died
And I died with him
Christ rose
And I am risen
Christ reigns
And my life is settled into place
My life is settled into place
Everything’s settled into place
