SUMMARY:Artist Talk: “In and Out of the Blue” by Misako OBA
DESCRIPTION:Doors will open at 6:30 pm. \n\n\nCome join us for a thoughtful conversation with artist Misako OBA. Delve into the world of art as Misako shares insights into her latest exhibition\, which explores and reflects on the emotional and spiritual aftermath of life’s most unexpected and turbulent events—those that arrive “out of the blue.” This in-person event will be held at the W83 Ministry Center\, providing a unique opportunity to connect with the artist and gain a deeper understanding of her creative process. Don’t miss out on this chance to be inspired and engage with art in a meaningful way! \n\n\n\n\nDrawing on personal experience and a deep empathy for others\, the artist presents a series of layered works exploring grief\, resilience\, and renewal. \nThrough a fusion of ancient techniques and contemporary materials\, encaustic alongside poetry\, scientific data\, and code\, her work reflects on the fragility of existence\, the strength of the human spirit\, and the search for meaning amid chaos. \nThe exhibition reimagines “blue” as emotion\, color\, and metaphor—honoring the beauty\, sorrow\, and inner power of our human and spiritual journeys. “In and Out of the Blue” also stands as a tribute to the strength of those who support us through life’s darkest moments. It celebrates the kindness that nurtures healing and the communities that uplift us. \nMisako’s exhibition invites us to find solace\, renewal\, and solidarity —and reminds us that through empathy and collective life moments\, we can rebuild not only ourselves\, but the communities we call home. \n\n\nGet your tickets at this link. \nThis exhibit runs through Sunday\, June 8.  \n

SUMMARY:“In and Out of the Blue” - Solo Art Exhibit by Misako OBA
DESCRIPTION:Join us at this profound exploration of hope and resilience\, emerging from the depths of struggle\, loss\, and grief.\n\n\nThrough her semi-abstract and conceptual series\, Misako OBA channels personal experiences into visually compelling narratives that reflect both darkness and light. Over the past decade\, she has explored a diverse range of mediums\, including encaustic\, watercolor\, oil\, acrylic\, and printmaking\, each layer infused with emotion and meaning. A pivotal moment in her artistic journey came with her first photographic work\, where she discovered the healing power of creativity. The process of printing in the darkroom became not just an artistic endeavor but a form of physical and emotional relief\, easing her pain and guiding her toward solace. Misako’s journey has been led by God\, the source of her strength and inspiration. This exhibition reveals what art can do\, portraying hope and resilience as they emerge from the depths of struggle\, loss\, and grief. \n\n\n\n\nGET YOUR FREE TICKETS HERE \n  \nEXPLORE THE ARTIST SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS: \nInstagram: @misakoobaart \nWordPress: https://misakooba.wordpress.com/about/ \nYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/@misakoart1023 \nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/MisakoArt/ \nArtist Talk: Thursday\, May 29 from 7 to 8pm \nExhibit will run through Sunday\, June 8.
