Yesterday, we began a five-week sermon series in which we’re looking at different accounts from the Book of Acts. In the narratives of Acts, we encounter a church that’s alive for the glory of God and the good of their cities. Acts shows us a church that was:
- Courageous amid hardship
- Prayerful, not self-reliant
- Generous in times of scarcity
- Hospitable to their neighbors
In Acts, we see God using imperfect people to bring hope and joy to their cities. Please join us over the coming weeks as we discover more of the kind of community God is calling us to be, for his glory and the good of our great city.
See you Sunday!
Pastor Bijan
November 1 through December 15 is the nomination period for the elected leaders of our church! We invite the whole church to pray for the discernment of whom to nominate to serve our church as a ruling elder or to serve in our mercy ministry as a deacon or deaconess. We are looking for church members who have a vibrant love for God’s word, a longing to see God at work in transforming the lives of others, and a compassionate, humble, wise, and listening heart!
