policy on harassment and the abuse of power
Everyone at Redeemer West Side is entitled to a safe place to worship and serve, and each of us has the duty to ensure RWS is that safe place. To this end, we have the RWS Policy on Harassment and the Abuse of Power in the Church and Ministry Environment. This initiative is rooted in our shared commitment to upholding the principles of justice, compassion, and care for the vulnerable, all of which are inherent in our understanding of God’s love. The policy provides guidelines for interactions and relationships among all adults within our community, including church leaders, staff, members, congregants, and visitors. Along with our long-standing policies for children, youth, and RWS employees, it is designed to both protect those in the RWS church community and ensure any concerns are addressed with care and fairness to all involved. Anyone who experiences or observes harmful behavior at RWS is encouraged to raise those concerns here.
