Lent began with a reminder of our death on Ash Wednesday as we remembered we were dust. It comes to a close with another unjust and humiliating death that Christians have the audacity to call “good”. The story recounted on Good Friday reminds us of the anguish and sorrow Jesus experienced as he made his way to the cross, uttering words that forever changed the story of the world:”It is finished.”
