On Sunday we launched the new Ministry Year, welcoming back many adults and children we haven’t seen since March 2020. I preached on God’s words to the exiles that he was doing a new thing in the midst of their fear and despair. This ‘thing’ he was doing was ultimately fulfilled in Jesus’s death and resurrection, unleashing what Paul called an “incomparably great power” (Ephesians 1:20) through the church. Afterwards we gathered together to unveil in more detail our new vision statement and accompanying values. We also revealed our new visual identity that both honors our past and yet fits our current context. You can listen to the audio of the meeting below.

Of course vision statements and visual identities have no value if God’s Spirit isn’t animating our life together, which is why our first value remains our commitment to the gospel rooted in Scripture. So please pray for our church family as we seek to faithfully follow Jesus’ sacred call to love our neighbors and heal our city.
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19
Upcoming Events
We have many opportunities to get involved at Redeemer West Side this fall. Check out our Events page to see what’s coming up this fall. We have a few family related events coming up as well as several chances to meet others attending Redeemer. You don’t have to do all of them but we do encourage to pick a few to begin rebuilding community and growing as a disciple.
