Yesterday marked the last Sunday of Tom Jennings’ tenure as Director of Worship Arts for Redeemer West Side. Tom and his wife Michelle have not only led thousands of people into God’s presence over the last 25 years in corporate worship, but made space in their lives and home for scores of musicians and artists over the years.

As I told Tom earlier this year at a staff meeting celebrating his 25 years, that just like the reason Redeemer was able to respond to the needs of our church community after 9/11 because of our Diaconate ministry, Redeemer West Side was able to meet the pastoral and financial needs of the artists and musicians impacted by the pandemic this past year because of Tom and Michelle’s ministry to that community.

So I wanted to take this opportunity to mark this transition and on behalf of Redeemer West Side and the broader Redeemer church family thank them for their dedication to weekly lifting up the story, beauty and glory of Jesus.
