The story of the Bible is about how God is pursuing us. Through all the joys, disappointments, and uncertainties of life, God is reaching out and wanting to make himself known to us. If ever we find ourselves searching for God, we can know that God has first been searching for us.
At Redeemer West Side, we want to create a safe and welcoming space for people to explore the Christian faith. As part of this effort, later this month we’re launching a group called Alpha. Alpha is a dinner and discussion series designed for those open to exploring Christianity – seekers, skeptics, agnostics, atheists, and people of other faiths – through the lens of life’s biggest questions. “Is there more to life?” “Why do bad things happen to good people?” “Who is Jesus, and why does he matter?” Alpha is an environment where people can ask anything and challenge everything without coercion or judgment.
- If you’re exploring the Christian faith, we invite you to consider participating in Alpha. What better place to consider the big questions of life and discover who Jesus really is than a safe space over a meal?
- If you are a follower of Jesus, do you know any neighbors, colleagues, or friends who you think might benefit from a space like this? Pray for them, and consider inviting them to attend.

New Leaders and New Hosts
In preparation for the new ministry year, a season where we are welcoming many newcomers into our church, we are asking for all of you to get excited with us and help us launch new pilot community groups! Please take a moment to think: who has a welcoming spirit and places their trust in the word of God? Who has been a great encouragement to you in your own CG? And practically speaking, who might have space to have six or more folks over to hang out for a couple of hours? Please recommend someone you know (or volunteer yourself) to serve as a Pilot CG leader or host.
