Food Distribution at Frederick Douglass Houses

Connect with and serve our neighbors living in the Frederick Douglass Houses by giving out food to the community. The Frederick Douglass Houses are a low-to-middle-income public housing complex stretching from 100th to 104th streets between Amsterdam and Manhattan Avenues. Come be a part of building relationships with and loving our neighbors in the West Side!

Volunteers needed: 5-6 volunteers per date
When: 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. First shift starts at 8 am, and distribution typically lasts until noon or until all the food is given out. Volunteers can arrive as late as 9 am and are free to leave whenever they need to.
Location: 101st St. & Columbus Ave. in front of 830 Columbus Ave.
