West Side Youth Winter Retreat 2026

February 27 @ 5:00 pm - March 1 @ 5:00 pm

REGISTER FOR THE LAKE CHAMPION WINTER RETREAT AT THIS LINK.

Join students from our church and nearby PCA churches for The Great Escape: a fun, restful weekend filled with community, activities, and a time to grow in understanding of our Savior.

What is the Great Escape?
The Great Escape has a threefold purpose. We want students to:

  • Encounter rich teaching from God’s Word and heart-engaging worship
  • Be discipled through significant time in small groups with their church leaders
  • Have a TON of fun celebrating the unity and diversity of the Gospel as they worship, play, and learn alongside their peers from different churches.

When?
Depart: Friday, February 27,  from Redeemer West Side (150 W 83 St.)
Return: Sunday, March 1

Who Can Join?
All students in grades 6–12 are invited to serve as campers.

Buddy Pass System:
If you have a friend you’ve been wanting to invite on retreat, we are using the Buddy Pass System. This means that you can bring one friend that is not active at Redeemer West Side for FREE. The Buddy’s parent/guardian just needs to fill out the form here. After this is processed, they will receive a code to register for retreat. Only one Buddy Pass per youth per retreat.

  • Early bird: $225 through Jan 11
  • Regular: $260 through Feb 15
Multi-Sibling discount of $20 per child throughout the registration period

Scholarships available—please reach out if cost is a barrier!

Registration closes on February 15, and no refunds will be given after this deadline.

Who is the Speaker?
We’re excited to welcome Peter Ong to The Great Escape! Peter has served in ministry for nearly 20 years with a passion for justice, compassion, and reaching immigrant youth in New York City. He began at the Herald Youth Center and has since led youth ministries, planted churches, and equipped leaders through Redeemer City to City.

Peter currently serves at Living Faith Community Church, where he oversees community groups and continues his mission of gospel renewal. We can’t wait to hear from him!

What to Bring?
Pack warm clothes, sneakers, toiletries, medications, a Bible and notebook. Snacks are provided. Student can bring optional money for the camp store/snack bar. Students stay in cabins with bedding, pillows, and towels provided.

Technology-Free Zone:
To help campers unplug and connect with others, devices will be collected on Friday evening and returned at departure on Sunday. (If a student needs a device for schoolwork, please contact us ahead of time.)
