Jonah discovers grace in the belly of the great fish. Jonah states that he has been banished from God’s sight yet believes he will look again toward God’s holy temple. The prayer climaxes with a defining theme of the Bible:“Salvation comes from the Lord”. Until we discover the depth of God’s grace we remain a ‘shadow of what we could be and should be’ . (TK/204).
