“Why are you discussing the fact that you have no bread?” (Mark 8:17). In other words, will we have enough? The disciples have experienced Jesus feeding multitudes, yet they later worry about forgetting to bring food for a short boat ride. They have bought into the scarcity mentality of Herod and the Pharisees, in whose worldview there’s never enough to go around.
Lent season is upon us! Use this time to reflect on what Jesus has done for us.
