In his classic and helpful book, The Knowledge of the Holy, A.W. Tozer wrote, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”
It’s a revealing question: what comes into your mind when you think about God?
Yesterday we began a four-week sermon series called Encountering God. During this series, we’re exploring some of the foundational questions of the Christian faith: how can a person meet with God and what happens when they do?
In encountering God as he is, we’ll understand more of who we really are. For that reason, this series unpacks one of my great hopes for our church: that we’d be a community pressing into God’s presence and steadfast in our efforts to help others in our city encounter him.
