WS Update: Growing in Generosity

The most amazing act of generosity was God sending his Son, Jesus, so that we might live through him (1 John 4:9). One way that Christians respond to God’s generosity is to live generously themselves. To give sacrificially of their time, their energy, and their money to honor God and to serve others.

On Sunday, March 9, we took some time during our worship services to share about a few resources we’re offering this year to help us all grow in our practice of generosity. For example: Jesus taught a lot about how we use and view our money. In early September, we’ll have a short sermon series in which we’ll wrestle with Jesus’ teachings about greed, generosity, and grace.

Also, at the end of April, we’ll begin our “Essentials of Financial Wholeness” class. This class is for anyone seeking some practical guidance around principles of stewardship from a biblical perspective. For more info and to register for that class, see below.

Join us for Essentials of Financial Wholeness: A Hands-On Money Workshop at the W83 Ministry Center! This two-session workshop will focus on the practical side of renewing our relationship with money. Participants will work through personal finance essentials like financial goals, debt, budgeting, investing, and account organization, all from a perspective of biblical stewardship.

This workshop will include exercises and tools to help you better organize and manage your financial life. The sessions are on Sunday, April 27, and Sunday, May 18, from 1:15 to 3:15 pm.
