In her book, Stay Salt, Rebecca Pippert points out that the message of the gospel–Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection–is “quite simply the best news ever!” She then asks,
If this is so, why do so many Christians struggle to share the glorious news of the gospel? How can we believe that there is no greater news in the world but still feel unable or unwilling to tell others?
No doubt there’s more than one way to answer her question. But at least one answer is that many Christians today feel intimidated at the idea of sharing their faith with others. They don’t know where to start, or how they’d respond to questions they might be asked.
On June 12, I’ll be leading a seminar designed to help you not only become more equipped to talk about Jesus with the people in your life, but also how to identify and engage with your own questions about faith and following Jesus. We’ll explore the characteristics and contours of modern culture and engage with practical tools for sharing the gospel as the good news that it is.
