WS Update: Generosity

November 18, 2024

The book of Acts describes the first Christian community as radically unified and radically welcoming – a beautiful combination. God used those first communities of Christians to bring great joy to their cities (Acts 8:8).

As a church, God has called us to seek the flourishing of New York City. As we saw in yesterday’s sermon, one spiritual practice that is essential to such flourishing is generosity: giving away our time, our things, and our money to show love to others and help more and more people have a chance to get to know Jesus.

So many new things are happening at Redeemer West Side, including bringing on new staff for neighborhood outreach, families, and our 20s and 30s ministry. This investment reflects our desire to grow gospel communities of Jesus followers who love and serve their neighbors. In addition, we have new staff managing W83 to steward this beautiful facility for ministry. We have a big vision of hope for the kind of community we can be for the good of our city.

As we approach the year’s end, I invite you to consider what your financial generosity in our church might look like.

With gratitude,

Bijan

Year-end giving make a huge impact! As you give, you’re helping meet the growing needs of our Upper West Side neighbors and equipping our community to fulfill our calling to serve our city. Please prayerfully consider giving a gift online at redeemerws.com/give.
